The structure of the S300 series devices adopts universal design, all the devices sharing the same structure and external interfaces, classified by the application, voltage class and the functional requirements.

S32 series devices, the common name of S321 and S322 series products, contain generator backup protection, transformer backup protection, line protection, capacitor protection, PT monitoring devices, with two RS485 interfaces, no Ethernet interface, no USB interface.

S321, S322 series comprehensive microcomputer protection devices, developed independently by Zhuhai Sino Electric Science and Technology Co., Ltd, adopt advanced design conception and hardware platform, and integrate the functions of measuring, control, human-machine interface and communication, with high reliability, high flexibility and high sensitivity. Here are the main characteristics:

◆Two 32-digit CPU respectively for protection and measuring

S32 computer protection device adopts the most advanced hardware platform of industrial control domain, with ADI Blackfin ADSP-BF533CPU for protection and Atmel AT91RM9200 ARM9 32 Wei CPU for measuring, thus realizing the genuine double CPU. Many advanced applications can be realized by making full use of the fast CPU operating speed, the large seeking space and the good stability.

◆RTOS real-time multitasking operating system

The application of real-time multitasking operating system has changed the traditional concept of microcomputer protection programming, for a variety of advanced software function can be realized and the CPU resources used in a reasonable and effective way, avoiding the decline of the software’s reliability, real-time and stability caused by the unreasonable use of CPU resources in traditional design.

◆Electric metering function with high accuracy

S32 device adopts the most advanced eletric meter chip ADE7758 in order to realize the energy measurement function with the same accuracy of an eletric meter, which not only shows the advancement of technology, but also has great practical and economical value, for it can save a traditional electric meter and the screen under most cases.

◆Double fieldbus interfaces

S32 device has independent double fieldbus and can form a genuine double communication network structure, greatly improving the reliability and real-time ability of communication and facilitating the upgrading and renovation of the network structure.

◆The protection function can be programmed

S32 device has logic programming function which greatly improves the applicability and flexibility of the protection, especially for the petrochemical, metallurgy and water supply users who have complicated requirments for field control, while the conventional protection items often fail to give a thorough solution to the practical application , the logic equation of the protection function can fully meet the requirements, thus avoiding ordering the non-standard products.

◆Huge LCD display screen

The human-machine interface of S32 device uses a large LCD, which can display as much information as possible about the protection, measurement and input parameter in one interface, greatly facilitating the use, debugging and inspection for the users.
The application of the large-screen LCD not only makes it possible for the man-machine interface to display the electrical parameters of protection and measurement,but also display the dynamic and real-time main connection diagram, inverse curve and the state of the input and output parameters, which cannot be diaplayed in ordinary protection device.

◆Universal design for interface

S32 series devices adopt a universal design, which means not noly the unification of structure but also the unification of external interfaces.The devices of a subsidiary series only differs in the internal software but are the same in external interfeces, which makes it easy both for design and for connection and maintainance. The meaning of the terminals are marked on the device,avoiding wire connection errors to the utmost extent.

◆Flexible parameter setting

The S32 series devices adopt people-oriented concept in design, not only making the human-machine interface concise and easy to operate, but also making the device more applicable in circumstances with different needs in function.

E.g: the fixed value, the function to be in service or out of service, the current input way(A、C two phases or three phases), the rated value(5A、1A), transform ratio, the meaning of the input parameters and their nature(trip or alarm), the nature of the relay output contact(self-return or self-keeping), all of these can be defined on the spot according to the user’s requirments, no need for customization. Besides, the electric main connection diagram, the name of the equipment to be protected and the name of the function item can also be defined on the spot.(the device has a built-in Chinese character library and diverse main connection modes).

◆Powerful communication ability

The S32 series devices have diverse communication interfaces, and many communication protocols like Modbus、IEC870-5-101、103 and so on, greatly facilitates the connection with different communication network.
